M-ERA.NET project BioCAN in-person kick-off meeting took place in Riga, Latvia on May 19-20, 2025. It was organized by the coordinator Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry with PhD Mikelis Kirpluks, PhD Anda Fridrihsone, PhD Ralfs Pomilovskis, gathering the project partners, Dr. Karsten Wippler from Leichtbau-Zentrum Sachsen GmbH, Dr. Hynek Beneš and Dr. Krzysztof Polaczek from Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry CAS, Dr.-Ing. Michael Müller-Pabel from Dresden University of Technology, Dr. hab., professor Kamila Sałasińska and PhD, assistant professor Bartlomiej Przybyszewski representing Warsaw University of Technology, Doc., RNDr., Ph.D., associate professor Ondrej Sedlacek and PhD student Ondrej Kopilec from Charles University, Dr. Eng. Bartłomiej Bereska from Noma Resins Sp. z o.o.

BioCAN launched on May 1, 2025, and during the next three years, we will work together to develop recyclable, bio-based vitrimer composites reinforced with fibers for composite applications.
