The BioCAN project was presented at the Pomerania – Plast scientific conference, held in Międzyzdroje, Poland, from May 27 to 29, 2026.
PhD student Daria Rutkowska from Warsaw University of Technology, from Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering presented a poster “The evaluation of the rheological and thermal properties of components used in the synthesis of bio-derived vitrimers obtained from epoxidized used cooking oil” co-authored with Mikelis Kirpluks, Arnis Abolins, Diana Golubeva, Anna Rezija Aboltina, Anda Frihsone from Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, and Milena Leszczyńska, Mariusz Nyc, Bartłomiej Przybyszewski, Dola Temesgen Ufaysa, Kamila Sałasińska.
The presented work highlighted the potential of renewable raw materials in the design of sustainable polymer systems and demonstrated the progress achieved within the project toward the development of recyclable materials supporting circular economy principles.
